Hi Everyone! I'd like to thank you for your kindness. Not many want to donate their hard-earned money to others, even if it is for a worthy cause. With the need for teachers able to educate students with special needs growing ever so quickly, I knew I had to take the call to action. Especially, after working so closely with students on the Autism spectrum during my volunteer time as an undergraduate. Geez, am I ever so happy that I was able to become a member of the professional community of special educators in Lawndale, CA. More than 3/4 of my students come from lowincome households and dual language backgrounds, but still find a way to grow in a system that was set up to fail them. Seeing the growth within my students make my dedication to my passion as an educator worth it. If there were ever a group of students, I would rally for, it would definitely be the students I look forward to teaching everyday!
