My students do not have books that they are interested in reading. The books in the school library are quite dated and in large sets. We have a great amount of certain books, but not enough to gear towards the diversity of our school. The updated book list targets a wide audience; all levels and all interests. I know they will really appreciate the new books they will be able to read independently! This will improve their lives because it will provide resources to help close the gaps in reading scores preparing them for college and other post graduation plans.
