I teach students who are active with their bodies. The students are usually bouncing on their legs or wiggling in their seats during instruction time. Flexible seating will allow for more movement in my classroom. The different varieties of flexible seating will allow for students to have choices in the way they want to learn for the day. Flexible seating will also allow for additional options in the reading area and calm down area of the special education classroom. These flexible seating options such as stools and ball chairs will give them a safe, comfortable, and non-threatening space to express their feelings and work in a productive manner.
