The students that we have a Harbor Beach are amazing. Because we are a small rural school system, our students get an opportunity to be on all sports teams and are able to be involved in any of the clubs that we offer. They know how to balance school, sports, clubs, and work. I have the privileged of having theses hardworking teens in my classes. I have a unique position of being the only art teacher in our district. Starting this year, we will be adding k-8 art to schedule. I am so excited to work with these students to help them grow creatively and to express their imagination. The art room is the place to be in our school. Starting this year, I will also be teaching essential living skills not taught in core classes. Students will learn everything from how to cook and do laundry to first aid, simple car maintenance, home financial budgeting, and self defense.
