Our students feel comfortable at our alternative school, unlike how they felt in traditional school. This is due to the relationships we build with each student daily. We strive to get to know our students so that we can truly meet their needs. While our staff provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, our physical building does not. I am hoping to integrate flexible seating options into my classroom. This corresponds with other changes in our school that aim to give students more choice in their education. These flexible seating options provide students with choice when they enter the science classroom. They can determine when and how they will work best. Creating a positive learning environment will increase learning and positive outcomes.
