The Space-Saver-Color-Changing Light Table and the new translucent materials to go with the light table will give my preschool children the opportunity to explore materials in a whole new "light." Play and exploration help young children as they learn about the world around them. I believe the familiar shapes, letters, numbers and sensory rings, presented in a different light, will engage students to ask questions and think at a higher level. This year my preschool children have already demonstrated a strong understanding of shapes, colors and alphabetic knowledge. This excitement for learning has encouraged me to support their learning in every possible way. I believe the addition of the light table will support some of the materials I already have in class and will be an exciting new tool to build confidence and excitement for support my early learners.
