My goal is to spark a love and interest in reading for my second graders. Throughout the day, my students have multiple opportunities to read and engage with their books. During our intervention time, I have the chance to meet with small groups and differentiate instruction for individual readers. These books will engage students in our small groups by providing high-interest topics. These lovable characters and interesting storylines will help me "turn up the volume" in my students' reading. Multiple copies of the same book allow my students to engage in meaningful conversations about the text. My students love to read, but this project will provide them with the needed materials to increase their volume of reading.
