As a first year teacher, I have very few basic supplies for my classroom and am not able to conduct fun and engaging lessons without the proper materials. The calculators will allow my students to explore math more deeply as we will be able to work with more difficult problems that require a higher level of thinking. These supplies will allow me to have a more hands on approach to teaching which will allow me to cater to the needs of my diverse learners. Many students get bored of notes day after day and as math class already has a negative connotation, it is my goal to make math as fun and engaging as possible. With supplies such as the whiteboards, I will be able to give my students different ways of interacting with the content, making math more appealing.
