These new books will help students find something that they enjoy. Having the same students as 6th graders with a low reading level, I had many books to cater to what they needed and what they were interested in at the time. As 8th graders, now they have improved so much and they are into different types of books. These books will help me keep them engaged so their love for reading continues to grow. The books I have chosen are mostly parts of series which is what my students enjoy. They want to follow a group of characters in order to see where their path leads them.
