Although some may argue about the importance of Shakespeare, he was the creator of the modern day theme and the author of dozens of quotes still used today. It's important for students to understand this, as well as learn from the timeless themes that Shakespeare employed that continue to be shockingly relevant hundreds of years later. Because my kids are so secluded, the culture that Shakespeare offers is important now more than ever. Having sets of "No Fear Shakespeare" would allow my kids to approach Shakespeare without the fear of being overwhelmed by the language. NFS would also allow me to easily bridge the gap between my lower and higher level students without either group having to sacrifice anything.
