As part of the Next Generation Standards, students are required to understand the many ideas and concepts from all areas of the humanities. I love doing hands-on activities, but my students are 11 and 12 year old children and have a tendency to lose things. Having basic supplies within the classroom will allow me to continue to create engaging science activities. Paper, pens and highlighters, colorful post-its are necessary every day in lessons and activities; if the students don't have them they can not be successful. A variety of supplies bring joy, motivation, and engagement to content assignments. Having everyday classroom supplies available will help make each lesson run more smoothly and more learning will be accomplished. A student-centered curriculum is a tool that I find effective for science success. I can't do this without your help. Please support and provide basic classroom supplies for my young students.
