Students in my statistics class will benefit from the use of graphing calculators to show them different versions of how to find statistical information. The use of graphing calculators will provide the students with technology and an easier way of calculating real world problems. A TI-83 graphing calculator has many different functions that encourage students to enjoy statistics. Students will use these calculators in class every day. Currently in class we do not have enough calculators for each student. Therefore, students are required to share and this slows down the curriculum. If each student had a calculator to use, they could get a better understanding of how to use the technology in class.
