The school a teach at is title 1 and low socio-economic, which means they do not have any disposable income. My students learn at a high level, but they are limited in their resources and materials. Very few of them have global or even city awareness. Bringing technology into the classroom helps enlighten students with a better understanding of the world around them. Money is very hard to come by and most do not have computers or Internet access. I teach 5 Pre-AP classes and my students jump on any opportunity to increase their content knowledge. Many of my students are LEP or limited English proficiency and need help learning the language. For the first time, my students are asking me high level questions. This shows me they are thinking outside the box and even outside the classroom.
