Education is always changing and as the focus on STEM in the classroom increases across grade levels, the types of activities and learning experiences students in primary grades have access to must expand to keep pace and meet expectations. The materials I've requested for my classroom will allow students the opportunity to explore and create. The IQ Builder, Emido Building Toy Blocks, and the Viahart Brain Flakes will be used for Makerspace bins. These will allow students to let their creativity soar. STEM classrooms are learning spaces that inspire. The Sphero will definitely help achieve this. Coding in the classroom is a way for all students to use technology for creative engagement. Coding in the classroom is linked to improved problem solving and analytical reasoning, and students who develop a mastery of coding have a "natural ability and drive to construct, hypothesize, explore, experiment, evaluate, and draw conclusions."
