The economic challenge continues at school. Their school has been designated a high-poverty school. For example, over 70 percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches. Additionally, the community is suffering from one of the highest unemployment rates in the state, and it cannot supply an abundance of materials. Knowing that the majority of my students do not have calculators and that the school system cannot supply them, I find it hard to ask the students to complete assignments at home and even in the classroom.
