With this project, each of my students will be able to hold and use a book for the entire school year. This book will be used as a tool to analyze and synthesize our shared histories as citizens of our local community, country, and world. My students will use the information in this book and others to interpret, to question, to reflect, in their writing, discussions, and projects. They will use this book to compare and contrast various perspectives. Being able to hold a book and read it collectively is engaging and priceless.
