Students in our rural area do not do a lot of recycling. We want to teach them to be good stewards of their planet by reducing, reusing and recycling. We will start in the lower grades - pre-school, kindergarten and first - by making recycling easy by placing recycling bins in each room. We will use a compost bin to recycle food products to enrich the soil for planting. The students will be responsible for transferring their recycling to the school-wide recycling bins and see how much difference their recycling makes. We need to make this an every day occurrence for students so they will start recycling at home also!
