We are in the midst of an AMAZING mystery unit for Reader's Workshop. We are all loving trying to solve our mysteries before the author actually does! However, our books that we have available critically lack diversity; if we want more diverse books, we as teachers need to purchase them on our own, at this time. All readers, especially younger readers, need to be exposed to a variety of main characters and supporting characters, especially in terms of race and exceptionalities. Please help our students to be stronger readers while supporting tolerance and inclusivity...now more than ever!

About my class
