My students are working in a classroom that doesn't have all the supplies needed to allow them to focus, find materials, and practice skills. Students have computer programs to help them practice their skills, but many of my families cannot afford to provide headphones for their children to use in class, so right now when it is computer time, students are unable to fully concentrate because of all of the noise in the room from the computers. We also have rather old whiteboards to practice handwriting and math on, so students are not always able to use the boards we have due to old writing on them, or them being so full of color from years of dry erase markers that they can't tell what they wrote and what isn't able to be erased from years ago. Lastly, students don't have name tags on their desks because the small budget I was given for my room was spent on tissues, snacks for kids whose families can't afford them, etc. Any help you can provide will help make this year even more special for my students, and we will appreciate it! :)
