Moving around easily in my classroom allows my co-teacher and I to conference with each and every student many times a day. Having chairs with wheels will enable us to do so. My students will use the microphone for oral language exercises and sound manipulation. The use of the microphone will also encourage correct pronunciation of words. They will amplify their voices and gain the confidence they need to become effective speakers. The use of the microphone in the classroom, will assist our more hesitant students to gain confidence in and out of the classroom. Confidence is essential for all students, particularly our English Language Learners and our Students with Disabilities.
