"Student engagement is the product of motivation and active learning." Having more technology in the classroom will not only increase student engagement but student learning. I will be able to further reach my kinesthetic and visual learners. The resources in my project will be an asset to all subjects including Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. We are requesting eight Nexus tablets so that students will have access to many innovative and academic applications that will further their learning and gain access to the world of techonolgy. Some applications that students will have access to include Symbaloo, Kahoot, and RAZ-Kids. Symbaloo allows students to begin early research on different topics such as Famous Americans, Plants and Animals, and Inventions which will be great for Writing Workshops and Social Studies. Kahoot will be a great way to quickly assess students through exit tickets or pop quizzes during Math Whole Group Instruction. Lastly, RAZ-Kids is an excellent program that allows students to practice reading fluency and comprehension that is on their specific level. As you can see, there are many ways this resource will be nothing but beneficial to my students. They will be able to explore the world of technology in their classroom that they may not typically have access at home. As a donor, you would be contributing to my student's growth and success!
