The Wheaton Robodogs is a team that can accomplish anything we try-- as long as we have the resources necessary. Wheaton is a rural area with highly motivated students, but due to being in such a small community, we lack the funding we need. This year, we are hoping to expand our STEM class and to do so, we could use the extra funding. We hope to purchase a backup robot in case of trouble during contests. Some problems are preventable but some may come unexpectedly, such as programming errors, data loss, and part malfunction. A backup bot could enter competition or donate parts as needed. We would also like to purchase an arena this year. We have had problems in past competitions of not being able to correctly move and function on the field due to our own field not being up to scale. With a competition style arena, our practice will get better as well as our performance in competitions.
