The materials that are being requested will greatly benefit my students because they will be able to see what I am telling them about. They struggle with abstract ideas and need to see rather than just listen and write. Math is an area where they have a great deal of deficits, as well as writing. With these materials, they will be better able to study important topics such as, astronomy, earth science, math, and writing. The writing process folders will be a huge help because many of them cannot remember the steps for writing. With the counting chips they will be able to understand math topics like integers better. The science kits will be a big help when teaching them about the different topics in science, some of which are difficult for students with disabilities.
