The majority of my students are low income, so these iPads I am requesting will also be an investment in their future since they are technology natives. These iPads will improve my classroom by decreasing behavior issues because the students will be engaged. I will be able to capture metacognition with Explain Everything. Explain Everything is a screencasting app that allows students to "annotate, animate, narrate, import and export almost anything to and from almost anywhere." Whether students demonstrate their understanding of a math concept, summarizing skills, or phonemes, Explain Everything allows you to capture students' thoughts while viewing their work. Students will work in groups to facilitate learning on the iPads. We will use them for around the room assignments and QR Code games. Students may also save their work. Students will be able to access how-to videos for a better understanding of concepts.
