The first year of statewide testing in Missouri is 3rd grade. That test is given entirely online with computers. Students need to have access to computers through out the year to prepare for this test. They also need to develop research skills using online resources. Third grade is a foundation year for many learning skills, and every student needs the opportunity to use a computer. It has been my goal for over a year now to gain an one to one ratio of students to computers. For many of my students, school is the only place where they have the chance to work with a computer. My students need five Chromebooks to increase and enhance learning time.
