These robots will help my students with their problem solving and nurture their imaginations! They will boost my students interest in STEM activities and help them learn to work with technology. Students will be able to begin with designing a course and then program the robots to follow that course. The two tablets will be used to run the the mini robot and the one robot we have already. The robot we have is an older model and needs a safety cover to allow it to maneuver better. A second mini robot will allow more students to participate at one time. The tablets will run the applications needed to design lines of coding that will drive the robots. Coding is about the technology it runs and the ability to problem solve. I am hoping to work with my older students to learn programming as a way into the work force and engage my younger students. They will be able to use real world problem solving techniques while working in collaborative teams. Most of all, it will bring an air of confidence to those students who struggle with pen and paper school work. I am hoping to foster a sense of excitement for learning in my young students lives that will encourage them to be lifelong learners!
