These materials will help give my students the option of where to sit. The seating is what works best for them. I hate sitting in a hard chair all day and they do too. So why would I make them do it? The flexible seating is to help my students learn in a spot that is comfortable. My students deserve to pick a seat that works for their learning. Some might like a cozy bean bags. Others may like a couch. It all depends on where they do the best learning and I want to give them the option to do just that. I am requesting different kinds of seating. For example: bean bag chairs, yoga balls, pillows, stools, and really anything that would be fun to sit on. I will use these different seating methods instead of the traditional desk with chairs. I want a more active classroom where my students are not stuck in one spot all day long. They will be used all day long by all of my students. I want my students to be able to get up and move around the classroom. By having these different seating arrangements it will open up my classroom and give the students the option to really make it their own space. That is why I am doing this project. I can't wait to see the outcome!
