STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) education is crucial for successful 21st Century learners. Through STEAM education, students work to improve crucial skills that will be transferable when they enter the work force. Such skills include creativity, technological literacy, interdisciplinary problem solving and critical thinking. This year we will launch the Exploration Lab in our elementary school with the goal to introduce and have our students be successful in STEAM education. Including a 3D printer to our Exploration Lab allows students to design, print, and hold their creations through engaging hands-on lessons. The use of coding robots in our Lab allows the students to recognize how technology can be used to solve real world problems. Authentic coding and robotic lessons also allow the students to learn employability skills like communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. STEAM education will help our students grow and navigate through everyday challenges. Thank you for your support in sparking the interest and love of STEAM education in our students.
