My students are HARD WORKING and value a strong work ethic as they are both in high school and in college. Yes, 83% of my students are economically disadvantaged, yet that doesn't stop them from coming to school with a 98% attendance rate. Yes, 100% of my students are just kids, yet they are extremely motivated and are earning an associates degree in science or engineering. Yes, 99% of my students are Hispanic, with some language barriers, yet that doesn't ward them from keeping up with an academically challenging accelerated high school program. Yes indeed, my students ARE special.
