Wobble stools help support student wellness and development at school. Having these wobble stools in my classroom will allow students to maintain focus and engagement, support posture, energy burning and increased blood flow. Physical movement supports brain development and can decrease stress and anxiety in students. Wobble stools help support development of the core and correct posture. As students are able to wiggle during a lesson they can have increased attention and participation. For students who struggle with sensory processing disorder, stress, text anxiety, etc, the repetitive wobbling motion is calming to the nervous system. My project will make a difference for my students to support their physical and academic needs during the day. Our classroom has mix-matched, hard, plastic chairs and this grant will help my students sit comfortably to support their hard work during the learning day.
