These wiggle seats are designed to help students move their bodies while learning. Movement can increase concentration a significant amount. These seating options will provide students with the ability to move constructively. Earlier this year I introduced several stability balls into my classroom. I have seen improved focus, work, and behavior from students utilizing these tools. Both of these wiggle seat options will provide more opportunity for students to have seating options that work for them. Kids are built to move! All the other requested items are for encouraging student engagement during reading and spelling. Students love the tactile experience of writing, building, stamping, painting, and creating spelling and vocabulary words. These type of hands-on learning really helps students retain the information they are practicing. When students are interested in HOW they are practicing high frequency, vocabulary, and spelling words, they have a much easier time recalling this information.
