I am the Humanities/ Garden STEAM Lab teacher at our school. I provide instruction to over 300 Kindergarten to 5th grade students. My classes include special education students, students of poverty, and second language learners. I teach STEAM lessons which allow students to excel in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through engaging, hands-on, project based learning. My STEAM lessons include, life science standards in the garden, 2 field trips to the countries largest student ran farmers market, chef demos using our garden produce, renewable energy, and the fourth language, computer science. My goal is to guide and influence student learning through hands-on play.
