Many of my students spend far too much time watching TV or playing video games and less time being physically active. Parents often times prefer spending family time with their child engaged in these same activities as well. Having jump ropes will help jump start my students engagement in more physical activities. Children seem to naturally want to move and jump when music is playing. Being able to amplify hip hop music while they are using the jump ropes and agility ladder will engage them even more. Research has shown that increased physical activity in childhood increases the likelihood of developing into a happy, healthy adult. Frequent physical activity also has been shown to improve behavior in the classroom as well help improve test scores. All in all, by providing my students with good quality, engaging P.E. equipment I am helping to build strong healthy bodies and minds for our future adults.
