I recently went to the S.P.I.R.E. training. I have the knowledge and the skills to better help my students learn to read. I just need the tools to get them where they need to be. The Sound Sensible Kit teaches children the phonological skills they need to be successful readers. Many of the children I work with are missing this critical foundational piece. The tools in the kit allow for repeated practice in ways children will find interesting. It provides a multi-sensory approach that so many students need. It is often frustrating not knowing how to help children who want to learn, but just can't get there. I believe that with these tools I can help them achieve lasting success.
