This project is Phase 1 of 4 with the ultimate goal of 10 iPads to use in the special education resource and co-teach classrooms. Your support of this project will begin Phase 1 to provide students with disabilities with 2 of 10 iPads for educational games and customized learning apps for thinking, collaborating, problem-solving, literacy, and numeracy tailored to each students needs. Students will record and edit audio for daily fluency checks, read audio books, create digital stories, poems and presentations, record partner reading and provide peer reviews, and scan QR codes to start class (scan a code with directions to a writing prompt, survey, or web page) or review books, play audio, speak text and praise students. My goal is to inspire each student to push pass their circumstances and embrace new knowledge through clear and meaningful reasons for learning. The wireless headphones are a significant benefit to our class and can be paired to one iPad for shared reading, integrated mic for audio recording, and flexibility in moving around the classroom creating a safer classroom environment (no cords to trip over).
