My students are in need of flexible seating options so they can move while they are working and pay attention to my teaching. About half of my class could also use some sort of sensory input to help with classroom behaviors. Certain sensations can overwhelm children with sensory processing issues. In school, students encounter sights, smells, textures and more that affects their ability to focus on being in the classroom. Using accommodations can help. We have a few items already to help the most impacted students but I would love to be able to provide options for all learners in my classroom that could help them focus or calm them down when they are upset.
