In my classroom we have a set rest time every day. Rest time is a requirement for our state licensing guidelines. I like this rule because, being a teacher you often see children coming to school tired. Having cots in our room gives them the opportunity to rest in a safe place. There are a lot of children who do not have their very own bed to sleep in at night. Having cots for our children to sleep on gives them their own personal bed to rest in while they are at school. Every child had their own and it’s theirs for the entire school year.
