The Dual Immersion program is new. We are in our second year. We simply do not have enough reading materials for my students to read in Spanish. I have selected 10 sets of books that I feel are of high interest and importance in learning to read in Spanish. Funding this projects gives our students more Spanish books to read at small group reading time. The more they read at their level, the faster they will grow as readers. Leveled readers also are sent home so students can practice reading with their families. This creates a positive reading experience at home as well as school.
