An Apple TV will help my students become more accountable for their learning. We complete lots of hands-on experiments and projects for science using different presentation apps and students will be able to capture those moments and share them with the entire class, school and parents. An Apple TV will allow me to take a non traditional approach to teaching called flipped classroom which will give me more time to engage with my students as they take the lead on their own learning! With an Apple TV, I can demo how to use popular apps like Kahoot! This is especially helpful for my English Language Learners because I am able to show and model whatever I am doing on the iPad on the big screen. Students will also be able to airplay anything that they capture on the iPad, like time lapse and videos of science experiments. Funding this project means that my students will be able to bring real-life outside experiences into the classroom.
