I provide children with counseling and behavioral training to help them learn social, self-regulation, coping, and problem solving skills. I also provide teachers and parents with consultation and training to help them understand and meet each child's individual needs. My goal is to give students the social/emotional skills they need to be successful at school and in the community. By donating to my project, you will not only provide my students with the opportunity to learn to regulate their minds and bodies in a calming, sensory friendly environment, you will ultimately help to increase their academic and social success. I believe that if students have a place to go that meets their sensory and social/emotional needs, they will be able to take a break and return to class, calmer, more focused, and ready to learn.
