My students are displaced from Hurricane Harvey. They have lost everything that meant the most to them. Some of my students live with relatives, and others live in shelters. The largest shelter "Tent City" that is set up at the civic center. Honestly, I believe it's hard for them just to be a kid when they have to live with so many people in a small, controlled area. They honestly do not have anything "extra" right now, including after school snacks. These snacks will help them gain a sense of normalcy when go home to their new make shift environment.
