Majority of the scholars that I have live in poverty. A lot of children do not have nice furniture to sit on and read their books or play a tablet. I want the library to be home for them. I want them to feel comfortable and have access to things that other students and schools may have. In the library I have playaway books where several students can sit around the speakers and read along, that is why I am requesting the echo dot speaker. They enjoy working with tablets and other technology. With the ipads and tablets they can sit in the barrel chairs and do research or listen to stories in the technology area. Giving them access to new technology is an investment in their future. This school doesn't have central air, so that is why I need a fan for the scholars. We have visitors and guest come read to the children, staff who use the computers that is why I need new computer chairs and foot steppers.
