I teach student's with severe, non-verbal Autism. These students have sensory processing disorder as part of their disability; therefore, things that light up are very intriguing to them. My student's love light up toys/manipulatives. It is very difficult to find things that are reinforcing than their own autistic world, that they frequently revert to when not engaged. These small light tablets are easy to move and store, therefore they can be used in multiple learning stations for multiple activities. They can be used to teach name, letter, and number recognition, along with simple play that leads to independent play and discovery.
