I am asking for a Desk Cycle which I plan to use as a behavior management tool because I know my students are going to all want to be the one using it everyday. While in reading group one student will be able to use the Desk Cycle to help them remain focused on instruction and on the reading and writing task they are asked to do. New research is starting to show the positive impact of exercise on the mind, attention and concentration. This is my hope for my students with the use of the Desk Cycle. Kids don't get enough physical activity outside of school, so why not give it to them while they learn?
