The letter, blocks, magnets, beads and other materials will help foster the students love for learning. It will give the students a break from the pencil/paperwork and technology. My students will have the opportunity to interact and work on their social skills. By incorporating the requested hands-on materials my students will have the opportunity to develop speech and language skills, practice communicating, improve cognitive development and build relationships. With all the different types of magnets and building pieces, my students will have a variety of options so they aren't getting bored and I can trade them out throughout the year. I will also be able to use the same resources for future classes. I believe today's classrooms are missing the important play time that students need and I hope to bring that back while still providing engaging educational activities.
