When my students enter our room, it is very bright and welcoming. There are desks and chairs arranged in groups. Their eyes are telling me, "Ms. Copher, we want to move." My hope is to bring flexible seating choices into our classroom. The use of flexible seating will allow my students to choose where they sit and how they sit. Flexible seating will keep them engaged while seated. The wobble stools and stability balls will allow them to wiggle while they work. Having my students sit where they are comfortable will help to keep them focused in our learning environment.
