I am teacher of a special education class that serves students from kindergarten to sixth grade. My students have different disabilities such as autism, specific learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and attention disorders that can sometimes make learning and school life a struggle. They are an incredible group of students who come from different backgrounds and have experienced different walks of life, but when we are in the classroom together we are one big classroom community.
