New York City is known as the "melting pot of the world". Why? Because human beings of all different ages, races and cultures call NYC their home. My school is no different. Within all schools, there is one subject that mixes all of the ingredients together, a spoon that stirs the pot, and that subject is Physical Education. As a brand new progressive education middle school, we are home to a founding class of 46 - 6th graders. "Movement is a medicine for creating change in a person's physical, emotional, and mental states." - Carol Welch Through the use of team building, cooperative games, and team sports I seek to develop physically literate student athletes. I am a firm believer that we are all lifelong learners and love having the opportunity to share this belief with the students at The Brooklyn Green School - M.S. 898.
