Our class is large with many different learning levels and styles. In addition to large group instruction, my scholars rotate within the classroom between small group instruction, hands on activities and technology to help them learn, grow and shine. We need headphones for technology time. This will allow my students to listen to the verbal instruction at their individualized learning center. By giving them headphones, they are able to take advantage of all of the opportunities that technology has to offer. Scholars can receive a hint or reminder when on the computers. Other scholars can listen to a strategy explained a different way to help them better understand. Some of my advanced scholars can expand their level of understanding into a new area. Headphones offer my scholars the opportunity to continue learning independently under my guided computer assignments. Headphones offer me the opportunity to be in multiple places at one time.
