Students are seen in the Speech/Language therapy setting for a variety of reasons including articulation, receptive/expressive language skills, pragmatics, fluency, hearing loss, and many others. A variety of materials are needed to reach a variety of students. This project will promote language learning through play and hands-on activities. This project would provide visuals and manipulatives to promote comprehension skills, turn-taking, articulation, vocabulary, and overall communication skills. The game, such as Jenga, will help my students stay engaged and promote turn-taking skills. The Can Do! and Literacy charts will help promote comprehension skills and literacy. My students have always enjoyed the dot markers when engaging in a variety of therapy tasks such as articulation skills. These items will be amazing for ALL of my students!
